BKK Summer camp 2025

Senpai James teaching the higher grades.

Summer Camp is always a highlight of the year, and as ever, it didn’t disappoint!

So lovely to meet with old friends and new; the atmosphere and the spirit was incredible. It was set in a beautiful location in the Cotswolds and the weather was perfect. James had the opportunity to learn from Shihans Steve, Sunil and Andrew, taking away lots of new ideas to bring back to his dojo, Nintai. Great way to spend a Bank Holiday weekend!

The shop was set up in the registration room where everyone got to see us and grab extra gis and protective gear, or just our card for future reference. We had gis hung up and ready to try on, and we will do this every time from now on - it made it easy for everyone to see the quality and get exactly the right fit.

Unfortunately, James wasn’t successful in his grading for 3rd Dan, but he is already planning how to come back next year even stronger. He’s hoping to visit a few dojos where the kata is especially good and learn from them, so if you know of anywhere, let us know on the socials!

Our first event!

James and I were very excited to attend this brilliant UK and Ireland Kyokushin Knockdown competition for the first time as sellers, as well as having James coaching.

It was great to have the chance to share our products, of which we are so proud, with everyone there. We were very encouraged by the great feedback we got on our gis and embroidered belts especially. Seeing people actually trying on the gis we have been working so hard to source and get on sale, and having them talk positively about the quality and fit was so exciting.

It was a very well run event, lots of fun for the kids as well as some impressive fighting with a great outcome for James’ Nintai Dojo, too. Hope to see you again next time!
